N°01 — The House
A house, not a salon — built around the unhurried hour, the right light, and a small bench of artisans who actually remember your name.”
Solène BardotFounder & Master Stylist

We opened in a converted loft on Marlowe Lane in 2014 with a stubborn idea: that beauty work is, at its best, a quiet conversation between hands and time. We don't double-book. We don't rush the rinse. We don't put a television in the chair.

What we do is make twelve hours in your year feel like a small, restorative correction. Your colour is mixed by the person applying it. Your facial is built around the skin in the room that day — not the one in the booking note. Our products come from a short, traceable list of houses we know personally; many we blend ourselves in the apothecary at the back.

The result, we hope, is the rarest thing in this category: a place where the work is meticulous and the room is calm. Come once, slowly. We will be here.

What our
guests say.

Four-and-a-half thousand visits a year, and these are the sentences people send afterwards.

I left feeling like a softer version of myself. The light, the scent, the quiet — they get every detail right, and they remember.

I've been booking with Solène for three years. It is not a salon visit, it is a small, well-made recalibration of the week.

The signature ritual is the most considered ninety minutes I spend each month. I have started giving them as wedding gifts.

Often asked.

If your question is not here, the telephone is the fastest way. We always answer.

Visit page →
Should I arrive early?
Ten minutes is enough. We will pour you a tea in the apothecary, take a short consultation note, and start exactly on time.
What is your cancellation policy?
Twenty-four hours, with care. Inside that window we charge fifty percent — we hold a chair, a room and an artisan for you, and they are real people with a working day.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes — for any service, any amount, posted in cloth and a hand-written card. Available in person or by telephone.
Are children welcome?
We are a quiet house, and we ask that small children only visit if they are the guest receiving a treatment. Hair and nails for teens and older — always welcome.
Where can I park?
We validate parking at the lot at 7 Hubert Street, ninety seconds from our door. Otherwise the closest subway is Franklin Street, five minutes' walk.
Do you accommodate pregnancy and special needs?
Always. Prenatal massage and pregnancy-safe facials are part of our regular menu — please mention at booking so we can pair you with the right artisan.
